In a Michigan State University study, students and employers were tasked to rank skill type by importance. While students felt industry knowledge was most important - employers ranked soft skills as the most important factor when hiring new graduates.
The Rising Leader Program was built specifically for college students and recent graduates who are ready to learn and refine the seven soft skills that will improve their performance and foster career advancement.
The Rising Leader Program is modeled on the same training and strategies we teach to Fortune 500 companies including Honeywell, Johnson & Johnson, and Microsoft.
Greg Zlevor is the President and Founder of Westwood International. He has over 25 years of experience in executive leadership development and education and has served as a coach, consultant, and facilitator for companies across Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and Australia.
Under Greg’s leadership, Westwood International has made it its mission to give back, supporting not-for-profit organizations that help homeless children and at-risk youth across the United States, Mexico, Thailand, India, and South America.

Building the Foundation
In this level you will learn what the Rising Leader Program is all about, how to go through the course and about Engaging in lifelong learning.
In this level you will learn the importance of self management, how to become more valuable, discover your strengths and develop positive habits to manage and prioritize you day.
This level is about all things communication. Active and effective listening, asking good questions, conflict resolution an dhow to influence and persuade. All key components of successful communications and outcomes.
Decision Making and Problem Solving
Learn how to ask great questions, consider multiple perspectives and develop creative and innovative solutions.
In the final level you will learn how to build effective relationships and select appropriate mentors, apply critical feedback and deal with everyday ambiguity and chaos that arises, ultimately strengthening your presence as a leader.
